City Palace, Udaipur
The palace is beautiful and the exhibition towards the end of the visit (especially the sculptures) is interesting, however it is so crowded that most of the visit is extremely unpleasant. By all mean visit the grounds, but I'm not sure if I recommend the museum, except if you somehow enjoy spending one hour in massively crowded small rooms and passages.
Avoid visiting here during festival and peak holiday season,it is virtually impossible that you will enjoy being there due to the excessive and poorly managed crowd touching 10k a day. Guide is very important as they might take you through short cuts.
City Palace is a beautifully built monument. The entry fee is Rs 30 and the museum fee is Rs 300. They provide parking facility at Rs 250 for the entire day. I liked the palace but the museum cost is pretty high compared to the attractions. A lot of spaces were under renovation and many attractions' entry was prohibited. The views(Lake Palace & City) from Palace are really good. Also such sites should be really maintained.
